Midlands and Lancashire CSU is working with NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board (C&M ICB) to appoint a supplier to provide an Eye Care Single Point of Access in Cheshire and Merseyside covering East Cheshire, West Cheshire, Knowsley, Halton and St Helens Places. This is a pilot service and will run for an initial 6-month period from 1st July 2024 with the option to extend for a further maximum period of 6 months. The ICB will remunerate the provider of this service on a cost per case basis and has used the activity data detailed in the Service Specification (available to any bidder via: https://atamis-1928.my.site.com/s/Welcome) as an estimate of the number of patients that is likely to use the Single Point of Access during the initial 6-month period. Bidders are requested to note that the financial envelope that has been set aside for this contract is approximately £100,000 for the initial 6-month period based on the expected activity levels listed in the Service Specification. Should the activity be higher than the anticipated levels listed in the Service Specification, then the provider will receive increased revenue based on their cost per case quotation response. The ICB has a further maximum budget of £100,000 available and this will be utilised to fund the extra activity levels within the initial six-month period and/or fund an additional contract period of a maximum of 6 months at the sole discretion of the Contracting Authority.£200,000
