Natural England wishes to commission passage and wintering bird surveys during January 2023 to March 2024, across terrestrial land with a potential to provide supporting habitat for bird species associated with the Humber Estuary Special Protection Area (SPA)/ Ramsar. These surveys will cover the north bank of the Humber Estuary only and be used to inform habitat suitability modelling for golden plover, curlew and lapwing and therefore a methodology has been proposed to systematically sample areas within a 10km radius of the Humber Estuary in Yorkshire.
