About this contract
NTW Solutions is an owned subsidiary of Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust. The purpose of this specification is to allow the contractor to provide a competitive quotation for the works as described below. For the provision of Winter Maintenance Services to Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust which will permit the safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians throughout the Trust sites listed within the schedule. The aim is to ensure that buildings that are operational 08.00-18.00 hrs shall be cleared and ready for use prior to opening time and maintained throughout the day in order to meet the aforementioned standard up until closing time. Buildings that are operational 24/7 it is anticipated that areas will be maintained prior to shift changeover times being 07.00 hrs and up until 21.00 hrs last shift change ensuring that the aforementioned standards are maintained. It should be noted that these times are indicative only and may be adjusted according to site operating methods and costs will be adjusted accordingly. As the Trust is undergoing a major transformation exercise there may be a need to add or remove properties and therefore the successful contractor/s may be required to include or remove properties as directed, however this will be open to negotiation as it is understood that there are practicalities of resources that will need to be provided or removed.
