About this contract

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (the "Trust") wants to appoint a provider either as a single entity or as a consortium or other suitable legal entity to undertake the operation and maintenance of the incinerator that has recently been refurbished. In addition the Trust is looking for an end to end solution that will provide the Trust with free clinical waste collection and burn, free domestic waste, free steam for the main hospital site and a revenue income for the lease of the land and incinerator. In addition the Trust is looking for a partner that would also look to share any potential gate fees with the Trust. The Trust has invested a significant amount of capital at this stage to refurbish the existing incinerator to bring the incinerator up to modern standards with a new life expectancy of 10 years. The Trust wants to maximise the income generation / revenue income as much as possible, while allowing a high quality service to be delivered, and the Trust does not have fixed expectations as to how best to achieve this. The commercial income generation model and process will be subject to negotiation with the Trust during this process.
