About this contract
VIVID is a Hampshire based Registered Provider of homes and services to local communities throughout Hampshire and parts of Surrey. We were created from a merger between First Wessex and Sentinel Housing Associations. We have around 70,000 customers, 30,000 homes and 1,000 staff and are the largest provider of housing association homes in Hampshire with a strong commitment to addressing housing needs. Our ambition is to maximise opportunities to make more housing available and affordable for everyone. VIVID have a number of historical Contracts/agreements in place pre-merger. It is now our intention to consolidate the contractors across the operational area to ensure best value for money for our residents. We employee 250 trade staff who carry out 134,000 repairs and maintenance to our 30,000 properties each year, but during times of peak demand, we require contractors to support us. It will also enable us to deliver larger repair works where we do not have sufficient capacity/do not provide the service in-house or outsourcing the works may provide better value. All works to be provided under the agreement will be in accordance with the National Housing Federation (NHF) Schedule of Rates (SOR) version 7, which covers responsive maintenance and renewals, contractors are asked to provide a percentage variation against the rates. Intellectual property rights of the core NHF documentation are vested in NHF Hammer South West and/or Rand Associates Consultancy Services Ltd." This agreement will be based on a four-year Responsive Repairs, Maintenance and void property framework that will allow us to engage with a panel of approved Contractors to carry out these works to our housing stock. We aim to have a sufficient number of providers for each category of works (see lot specification for more information) to ensure Contractors are not overloaded and are able to provide a high standard of repair & maintenance work. Works will be awarded via a direct call off between the Contractors appointed to the framework and we will endeavour to maximise Contractors working potential by establishing mutually convenient geographical work locations. Please note that major and planned works are out of scope for this tender and will be subject to separate procurement. Documents are available now at www.housingprocurement,com
