About this contract

'All SCRIM surveys will follow the general guidelines recommended in UK Highways Agency Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, Volume 7, Section 3, Part 1 HD 28/04 incorporating any updates during the length of the framework. The single annual survey method will apply commencing with surveys in 2015 in the early survey period. The principal requirement of this survey is to provide skidding resistance information to allow effective implementation of the Highway Authority's SKID Policy. The Contractor will be responsible for providing the SCRIM survey vehicle, together with suitable and adequate hazard warning signs and lights on the vehicle, and provide any other additional traffic control and warning signs as necessary. The Contractor will notify the Authority concerned when surveying is to commence and will seek approval for work on the highway by the Traffic Manager. The data produced by the survey should be supplied either electronically as processed data in excel format showing 10 m and 100 m survey intervals. In addition the data should be supplied electronically in HMDIF format for processing within UKPMS.'
