Aircraft Safety Case Development for British Antarctic Survey and FAAM Airborne Laboratory:
UK Research and Innovation requires the development of national capability operations safety cases for British Antarctic Survey and FAAM Airborne Laboratory aircraft, which are UKRI owned, namely: one BAE 146-301, also subject to a mid-life upgrade; one De-Havilland Canada (DCH) DASH 7 (DHC 7-110, VP-FBQ) and the four DHC Twin Otters (DHC 6-300, VP-FAZ, VP-FBB, VP-FBC, VP-FBL), and one future replacement aircraft De-Havilland Canada DASH 8 (please note that another supplier is contracted to develop a safety case for this aircraft however some involvement may be required to ensure that translation of all individual safety cases is consistent to UKRI level). The safety cases include the aircraft, and all scientific equipment carried on board. The aircraft operate in non-standard environments, such as low altitude (FAAM) and the Antarctic/Arctic (BAS).
These aircraft provide scientific communities a means to conduct cutting edge climate research. Additional information: To respond to this opportunity please click here: https://ukri.delta-esourcing.com/respond/56PD2XU2TH£600,000
