About this contract

Newark & Sherwood District Council is seeking to appoint a local coach/bus operator to provide a transport service between designated pick-up and drop-off points in Ollerton and Newark in support of local residents seeking employment opportunities in Newark. The service is to be piloted over a 6-month period commencing in May 2016 and is to be aligned with the 12-hour shift patterns of local businesses in order to provide opportunities to increase employment in the district. It is proposed that the pilot will be a 7 days per week service (including Bank Holidays) using a 16 or 35-seater vehicle. Additional information: All clarification requests must be submitted via the Messaging facility of the EastMidsTenders portal and NOT by e-mail. All documents forming part of your quotation must be uploaded to the portal prior to the submission deadline.
