About this contract

To appoint a person with knowledge and experience to consider written representations made by Transporters in response to Notices served by the APHA suspending/revoking their Authorisations/approvals. To review the evidence, and to consider whether the proposed suspensions were a reasonable and proportionate response to the infringements identified. To prepare reports setting out the findings to the Head of Defra’s Animal Welfare team who acts on behalf of Secretary of State.
