About this contract
Humber Learning Consortium are working with the Big Lottery Fund to deliver the "This Ability" project in Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire. The project is targeted at Unemployed or Inactive 18 to 29 year olds with a disability, learning disability / difficulty or long term health condition. There are 3 stages to the support available, and tenderers are expected to deliver Stage 2 - "World of Work", which is a formal training programme to ensure participants complete and achieve an employability passport within 6 dedicated occupational sectors. Occupational Sectors to be defined by the tenderer, and they will also be expected to support the participant into sustainable employment. Tenderers will need to deliver an employability passport, called "World of Work", across dedicated occupational areas in which they have extensive experience (we expect to contract for a maximum of 6 occupational areas) to a total of 500 young people aged 18 to 29 years old with a disability, learning disability / difficulty or long term health condition. The aim of the project is to help participants progress into sustainable employment. Tenderers will use HLC's validated Employability Passport which incorporates the 7 CBI Employability Skills. A total of £1,200,000 is available to deliver the employability passport and depending on the capacity to deliver varied occupationally specific passports, we may contract to 1 tenderer or multiple tenderers. Payment will be made on outputs, starts, achievements and Sustained Employment to a maximum of £3000 per participant. The will be 2 stages to the procurement, completion of a written tender application, and for those that score more than 10 on question 1, a scored presentation to a group of young people. A cumulative score from the tender application and the pitch will determine the successful applicant(s).
