About this contract

Medicines Discovery Catapult (MDC) are a national facility for collaborative R and D exploring and developing new approaches to the discovery and proof of well targeted medicines, diagnostics and biomarkers. Funded by Innovate UK, an agency of the UK government, MD Catapult are an independent not-for-profit company bringing together a fragmented UK sector of industry, academia, charities, technologists, services, finance companies, SMEs and start-ups who together can turn good science into new, high value products. This tender has been issued by MDC for the supply, delivery, installation and maintenance of a High Resolution Mass Spectrometer (HRMS) with Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption Ionisation (MALDI) and Electrospray Ionisation (ESI) Sources (Mass Spectrometry System(s)) at their premises at Alderley Park in Cheshire. For further information please follow the below link for the tender documentation: https://md.catapult.org.uk/specification-for-hrms-with-maldi-and-esi-sources It is expected that the Mass Spectrometry System(s) will be required to be supplied, delivered, installed and ready to use on MDC premises at Alderley Park Cheshire by 28.2.2019, however this timeline is subject to funding approval therefore this date maybe subject to slippage, therefore Tenders shall remain open for acceptance by MDC for one (1) year from the Tender deadline date. The purchase of the Mass Spectrometry System(s) shall include the supply, delivery, installation, training and a one (1) year comprehensive on-site warranty. After the expiry of the one (1) year warranty a three (3) year comprehensive on-site maintenance package will commence. Please see the ITT documents for the full scope of the Contract. MDC have a 600 000,00 GBP budget for the supply, delivery and installation of the Mass Spectrometry System(s), this budget is inclusive of suitable training of MDC employees and a one (1) year comprehensive on-site warranty period, however this is exclusive of the additional three (3) year comprehensive on-site maintenance package. The purchase of the Mass Spectrometry System(s) is subject to the approval of MDC funders as such the Tenderer accepts and acknowledges that by issuing a Tender MDC shall not be bound to accept any Tender and reserves the right not to conclude a Contract for the Supply, Delivery, Installation and Maintenance of High Resolution Mass Spectrometer (HRMS) with Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption Ionisation (MALDI) and Electrospray Ionisation (ESI) Sources for which Tenders are invited. Tender Submissions shall be based on the MDC Contract appendix 1.
