About this contract
Resorting to the Coast is inviting tenders for its travelling exhibition funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund in partnership with Essex County Council and Tendring District Council. The Resorting to the Coast travelling exhibition will be important for engaging a wide audience in the seaside heritage of the Tendring coastal towns which is being explored through Resorting to the Coast (RTTC). The exhibition is taking place at this stage in the project to enable many different strands of work and activity already completed to be taken into account in informing the exhibition. It is the role of the exhibition to promote this work and the themes explored, developing content creatively and opening up engagement with as many different audiences as possible - both communities and visitors to the coastal towns. About Resorting to the Coast Resorting to the Coast has a total National Lottery grant of £316,400 from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). Spanning two years, the project will proactively engage with local community groups and schools to bring the seaside heritage of Clacton, Frinton, Harwich/ Dovercourt, Jaywick and Walton-on-the-Naze to life. The travelling exhibition is one strand of the overall project with a fixed budget of £42,500 to deliver all aspects of it. Scope of Work The successful team will be responsible for designing, building and delivering the travelling exhibition, working closely with the project coordinator for Resorting to the Coast and other partners, including local heritage groups/volunteers. The three highest scoring bidders will be invited to present their tenders on 20th February in Chelmsford (County Hall).
