About this contract

This service is for the provision of an independent advocacy service for Buckinghamshire that meets the statutory requirements placed on local authorities under the following legislation: • Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) under Mental Capacity Act 2005 • Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) under Mental Health Act 2007 • Care Act Advocacy under Care Act 2014. The successful provider must fully understand the principle legislation and statutory requirements relating to the provision of independent advocacy. The provider must keep up to date on related judgements and consultations and their implications and applications to the service The contract is for a period of three years commencing on 1st September 2017. There is an option to extend for a further 24 months
