About this contract
The endoscopy service at RFL would like to procure the services of an external supplier to provide endoscopy services to NHS patients on days and at locations, specified by the Trust. The purpose of this is in order to manage current activity levels and to ensure we have sufficient capacity to meet our predicted demand. This additional work will take place at weekends in order to maximise current trust facilities. The current expectation is that Endoscopy Insourcing services will be delivered at the Royal Free Hospital, Hampstead site. However this may change during the life of the contract and services may be required to be delivered at other sites, for example at Chase Farm Hospital. The trust wishes to put in place a two year contract with the external supplier, with the option of 4 extensions in 6 monthly increments, to a total of four years. This will allow the trust maximum flexibility when planning for next steps following this contract. The trust requires the pricing for the services to be at or below tariff.
