About this contract

The Aspire Federation is looking for 4 days each of Therapeutic Speech and Language (Lot 1) and Occupational Therapy Support (Lot 2) across our two special needs schools. The therapeutic support is currently provided via an Occupational therapist 2 days a week per school (4 in total) and a Speech and language therapist 2 days a week per school (4 in total). This is term time 38 weeks per year (plus an additional couple of days for staff training). We welcome tenders for one or both services (Lots). The therapeutic support serves as a cornerstone in fostering holistic development and well-being among our learners. Through a multidisciplinary approach, we prioritise the individual needs of each learner, tailoring interventions to promote their physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth. The therapeutic support and recommendation are also embedded within everyday classroom practice and as such the support provided must work hand in hand with teaching and learning. The therapeutic support team must be qualified and experienced professionals, including occupational therapists and speech-language therapists. The therapists must collaborate together, work closely with teachers, parents, and caregivers to create a nurturing environment conducive to learning and personal advancement.
