The Term Maintenance Contract will be to undertake electrical services works to Public Buildings in relation to the Inspection and testing of Emergency lighting systems which will include (but not limited to) the following:
Properties are to be inspected and tested on 12 visits per year. i.e. One visit per month per property.
The operatives employed to carry out the work on site shall be experienced professional electrical engineers, who are “skilled persons (electrically)” within the meaning of the Electricity at Work Regulations and BS 7671 2008 IET Wiring Regulations for:
(a) Inspecting and testing emergency lighting installations
Contractors will undertake that all work is carried out by “skilled persons” to a standard not less than that laid down in BS 5266 including appropriate verification and shall conform with the requirements of BS 7671 and the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. Additional information: Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.£600,000
