About this contract

Manchester Metropolitan University ("the University") has an Information Systems Strategic Investment roadmap, which defines a number of large transformation projects and programmes, along with smaller BAU development changes and upgrades. With this increased focus on the strategic delivery of software throughout the University, a need was identified to increase the University's testing capabilities. There are a large variety of systems used across the University which include supplier provided and hosted systems, specialist learning and development systems and in house developed systems. The majority of these undergo regular upgrades and maintenance releases. Alongside these established systems, there is a roadmap of large transformation projects, all of which require different levels of testing. The University will look to work with suppliers who can work with existing teams to provide a managed test service, taking on system integration testing, regression testing, and operational acceptance testing whilst helping with environment and data management within a planned quarterly release cycle. The University is looking for suppliers who can work with us and provide a dynamic, ad hoc, flexible Test Analyst and Test Lead resourcing solution for individual projects and changes. The work issued through the testing DPS will vary based on the requirements of the specific project or change and the definition of these requirements will be detailed as part of the ITT at mini-competition stage.
