About this contract
To protect groundwater across the North East the Environment Agency manage a netwrok of monitoring sites. Recent and future development within the Tees estuary, connected to national Net Zero, aspirations may require additional water resources. The Sherwood Sandstone principal aquifer underlies part of the River Tees catchment and maybe utlised for additional water. We are looking for a contractor to reveiew available information on the Tees Sherwood Sandstone Level and Quality networks, and to recommend locations for boreholes to monitor both groundwater quality and level within the Tees Sherwood Sandtsone.
