About this contract

The purpose of this Contract is to bring the Council's stock of highway bridges and structures up to a standard of inspection that meets or exceeds the risk based interval requirements for Principal Bridge Inspections (PBIs of Chapter 8 of BD 63/17 - The Inspection of Highway Structures. Highways Structures include; bridges (including footbridges, cycle routes, bridleway bridges, accomodation bridges, occupation bridges, swing bridges, subways, underpasses, buried culverts, retaining walls, sign/signal gantries, cantilevel road signs, tunnels, and which satisfy the dimensional criteria defined in the DMRB Standard 63/17 - Inspection of Highway Structures
