About this contract

The Borough Council of Bolton ("the Authority") is prepared to receive tenders for their Care & Repair Service Contract which will be subject to the information, specification and tender package enclosed. Bolton Care and Repair is the umbrella brand name for the Authority's Home Improvement Agency with the aim to promote independence and wellbeing amongst our disabled and vulnerable children and adults ensuring they prosper by enabling them to live independently at home for as long as they want and are able to ensure their home is suitable and fit to live in. The Bolton Care and Repair Service (the "Service") has been developed using best practice and in line with statutory guidance to provide a range of interventions. The Service is designed to assist residents (the "Service User") through a wrap-around approach, to both the home and the person. The Service Provider will help people to arrange adaptations or improvements to their existing home or explore other possible means of support. The service will be available regardless of tenure, although for social housing and private rented tenants any issues involving repairs, improvements should initially be referred to their landlord.
