About this contract

The University of Southampton currently utilises taxi services to carry students, patients, visitors and staff between sites and to other sites, for business, academic and health purposes. Journeys mainly, but not solely, occur during the daytime, throughout the year. The proposed Framework Agreement will be split into two Lots as set out below: Lot 1: For the provision of Local Taxi services - with the majority of these journeys taking place within the vicinity of Southampton. This local taxi service would also need to provide for journeys across the southern region of the UK in rarer circumstances where the collection point or destination point would be in Southampton or the surrounding area. Lot 2: For the provision of Airport Transfer services - with most journeys going to and from airports, in particular Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted although occasional journeys may be required to and from other airports including but not limited to Southampton and Bournemouth airports. The Airport Transfer service is expected to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please note - This Project applies to Lot 1 ONLY. Should you wish to submit a return for Lot 2 please refer to the relevant project in In-Tend. The University seeks to establish a Framework Agreement with a maximum of five Supplier(s) for the provision of Local Taxi services - with the majority of these journeys taking place within the vicinity of Southampton. This local taxi service would also need to provide for journeys across the southern region of the UK in rarer circumstances where the collection point or destination point would be in Southampton or the surrounding area. Please note, if a Tenderer wishes to apply for both Lots, they must complete two separate Tender returns, one return for Lot 1 and one return for Lot 2 and submit using the relevant Return Documents. Each Tender return will be assessed on its own merits and each Lot will be awarded separately. Successful award on a particular Lot does not enable a Tenderer to supply services under any other Lot.
