About this contract

This contract is for the development and delivery of PEACEPLUS Interfaith & Belief Programme. Interfaith is a term used to describe interactions between people of different faiths, and in some cases between those of religious and non-religious beliefs. This is a collaborative programme that will be delivered over 3 key streams: • Education and Awareness (duration of contract) • Unity and Peace – Welcoming Programme (18 month duration) • Celebrating Faith and Belief Festivals (duration of contract) with the view to increase knowledge and awareness about different faiths and beliefs across Belfast, promote positive dialogue and expression, improve relations between people of different religious and non-religious backgrounds, and to build trust and respect. The programme will engage 870 direct participants in cross community, interfaith collaboration for the duration of the project streams, with 1430 plus wider participants engaged in capacity building and events. The delivery will take place across Belfast (N, S, E, W) and will have an allocated budget of £304,564. Cross Council and Cross Border opportunities to be considered in the delivery of this programme. This project forms part of the Belfast PEACEPLUS Local Community Action Plan, which is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).
