About this contract

Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust is issuing this Invitation To Tender ("ITT") in connection with the competitive procurement for inclusion in the Minor Works Framework 2018. This Framework has been arranged by Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust who will be the primary user; however, this Framework may also be accessed by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust and Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are hereafter jointly and/or singularly referred to as (the "Authority") Background The Framework is expected to commence in November 2018 for an initial 2 year period with the option to extend the Framework term for a further 2 years. Surrey and Borders Partnership Trust currently has an existing Hard FM arrangement in place for general maintenance and minor repairs throughout the Trust. This Framework will be to supplement this arrangement, covering projects which are non-reactive and not considered core to the current contract. The current Contractor for hard FM services may be invited to bid alongside Framework contractors even though they are not a Framework contractor. They will be given the same further competition documents as issued and expected to complete them in full competition with the Framework contractors and they will not be given any advantage. The Authority is looking to secure the services of up to 5 multi-discipline construction based Contractors required to cover the various requirements considered to be Minor Works Projects (generally up to £100,000). Contractors should have previous experience and understanding of the constraints of working in the following types of establishments: - Premises used for Mental Healthcare, - Premises containing vulnerable or at risk persons. - Premises used for General Healthcare. - Seclusion Rooms - Secure Premises - Premises used as offices Although this Framework will cover projects up to circa £100,000 it is envisaged that the majority of projects will be around £50,000 or below. Please bear this in mind when bidding as continuously declining to bid (without explanation) may result in Contractors being asked to withdraw from the Framework. You will not be expected to bid for all works but you will be required to be a participating member of the Framework.
