About this contract

Maltings Organic Treatment Ltd is a dedicated organic waste management organisation that recovers non-hazardous organic waste in various forms to produce compost and compost like output for agricultural/ecological benefit. We are currently developing a new AD facility and we have created an AD soup from high moisture content solids. A system to reduce the moisture content of these materials will be advantageous to the company. The company has recently purchased and installed a biomass boiler. By retrofitting this to utilise existing maltings we wish to use this to create a unique drying system. We have six trommels on site that were used by the previous maltings operations, but have been redundant since the 1960's. We wish to develop a system by which the heat from the boiler can be redirected into the refitted trommels so that they can act a large rotary dryers.
