About this contract

We will be awarding a contract for the Supply of 2 x 6.5m reach tractor mounted side arm mowers. Delivery will be: 1 x side arm mower to Forestry Commission Lyndhurst Workshop, 111 High Street, Lyndhurst, Hants, SO43 7BH 1 x side arm mower to Forestry Commission, Lady Hill, Birches Valley, Rugeley, Staffordshire, WS15 2UQ The total value of this contract over the entire period, including any extension options, will be in the region of £40,000.00 Contract Description Supply two 6.5m reach Side Arm Mowers which must fully meet the technical specification detailed below with delivery to Forestry Commission at Lyndhurst Workshop and Lady Hill, Rugeley as detailed above. Delivery to be within 6 weeks of order being placed or by agreement. The following specification must be included as part of the mower as a minimum: Reach: 6.5m Operation Side: Left hand side Main arm: Parallel levelling system Dipper: Telescopic dipper arm reqd Mounting: 3 point linkage Slew: Power slew Head: 1.2m flail head complete with multi purpose flails Controls: Precision control (XTC, ICS or equivalent) Tractor HP: Suitable for operation on a 110hp tractor Features reqd: Hydraulic safety breakaway Oil cooler LED road lighting kit Directional arrow sign Lift float kit Angle float kit Flail head skid kit Front flap kit Provision must be made within the contract to include onsite operator training of the machine to a standard ensuring compliance with current Health and Safety requirements. Note: If we ask, you must provide documentary evidence establishing your eligibility to tender and your qualifications to fulfil the contract if we accept your quotation. This may be in the form of literature, drawings or samples. You must include details of any areas where you will not be able to comply with these requirements. If your quotation does not meet these requirements we reserve the right to reject it completely.
