About this contract

Avon Fire & Rescue Service (AFRS) provides emergency and protection services to the communities of Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. A new Headquarters is to be developed in Keynsham as part of AFRS’s ‘Investing for the Future Programme’. The scheme is currently at concept stage, with initial design studies having been undertaken. These are contained within the appended client briefing report. It should be noted that the design is fluid at this stage and will evolve further as the design process is completed and the final site size and location is defined. AFRS has appointed an Architect/Lead Consultant and the successful Structural and Civil Engineering Consultant will need to work closely with the other designers in the team to produce a design to RIBA 2013 Plan of Work Stage 3+.
