About this contract

This contract is primarily for delivery of goods or services to council establishments in Wirral. Wirral is a Metropolitan Borough of Merseyside in the North West of England with a population of approx 300,000 over 60 square miles. Further information about Wirral is available on our website (www.wirral.gov.uk). Storeton Quarry is an actively gassing ex-landfill site, now owned by Wirral Council. In 1993, the gas was found to be migrating into surrounding residential properties so a remediation scheme, which utilises an active venting gas management system, was put in place.
