About this contract
A 4,200 square metre building for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) is being built at the University's Markeaton Street site. The centre, which is expected to be completed by 2017, will focus on real-world learning, combining functional teaching space with infrastructure designed for the specific needs of engineering and computing. The College of Engineering and Technology, University of Derby is expanding its Geotechnics Laboratory facility to support the application of scientific methods and engineering principles to the acquisition, interpretation, and use of knowledge of materials of the Earth's crust and earth materials for the solution of engineering problems and the design of engineering works. Items are required for the start of the 2017 / 2018 academic year. The purpose of this tender is to acquire additional pieces to complement the existing equipment and therefore enhance the student experience in this field of learning.
