About this contract
We require a suitably qualified contractor to undertake the interpretive planning and design of the State of the Worlds Plants (SOTWP) exhibition, providing Interpretation and Design Services to Stages 1-4, RIBA 1-7 equivalent. The exhibition must be intrinsically linked to the work of Kew Gardens and the scientists in the Millennium Seed Bank at Wakehurst. It needs to explore 'Why Plants Matter' and unlock the content and importance of the State of the Worlds Plants research for readers at all levels. The exhibition will provide an opportunity to highlight the important work carried out by RBG Kew and to bring the MSB to life for our visitors as a global hub of scientific research and study. SotWP is a flagship piece of work for RBG Kew and requires a wide public appeal. The creation of a detailed, research based exhibition at Wakehurst offers a fantastic opportunity to disseminate the content of SotWP to a wider audience and showcase the Millennium Seed Bank and Wakehurst as vital parts of the RBG Kew.
