About this contract
This requirement is for Road Weather Information System Maintenance and operation required within the Growth, Environment and Transport Directorate. The Contractor will be responsible for providing the whole of the maintenance and operation of the existing network of Weather Stations throughout the County of Kent. The Contractor will also be responsible for the following: Maintain and operate the existing network of Weather Stations and be responsible for the Inspection, Calibration, Maintenance, Repair and Modification of the Installations/Equipment included within the Contract and stipulated in the Schedule of Equipment to the Specification. Operate a Bureau Service that provides the Employer with access to data from the Weather Stations owned and/or utilised by them. It must also manage and enable the flow of forecast and roadside Weather Station data between Meteogroup, the Contractor and the Employer, enabling the remote monitoring of road surface and atmospheric conditions for the detection and prediction of ice formation and other adverse weather conditions. The maintenance of associated Ice Prediction Software. Provide sensor data and camera images from Weather Stations that the Employer has permission to utilise from neighboring authorities.All work, labour, plant, equipment, materials and any other things necessary to complete the item are to be provided by the contractor.
