About this contract
North East Cambridge is one of the last large brownfield site within Cambridge. Over the next 20 years, the area will become one of the first Innovation Districts in the country. This is an exciting opportunity for consultants who can bring creative thinking to shape a new sustainable high density mixed use urban district. South Cambridgeshire District Council and Cambridge City Council are seeking consultants to research and prepare a Cultural Placemaking Strategy to inform a jointly produced North East Cambridge Area Action Plan. This work will complement other strands of research and planning as part of the emerging Draft Plan for North East Cambridge. The Councils are seeking to work with a contractor or group of contractors who can demonstrate a high level of knowledge and practical experience of identifying community and cultural needs related to development plan making. This work forms part of the Councils' plan making process. The contractor/s must demonstrate in writing that they have no conflicts of interest in respect of work being sought that cannot be effectively mitigated. Detailed proposals are now invited from consultants.
