About this contract
The University of Birmingham has a requirement for a long-term contract for the service and maintenance Service of Domestic Central Heating Systems and Miscellaneous Gas Appliances in Student Residences and the Annual Servicing and Maintenance of Industrial Gas Burners in various University owned Properties' that will ensure that the relevant equipment is maintained and repaired to the highest quality standards. Accordingly the Employer is seeking competitive Tenders ("Tenders") from suitably qualified contractors ("Contractors") in response to this Invitation to Tender ("ITT") with a view to awarding a single contract for 'The Annual Service and Maintenance of Domestic Central Heating Systems and Miscellaneous Gas Appliances in Student Residences and for the Annual Servicing and Maintenance of Industrial Gas Burners in Various University owned Properties'. The overriding purpose and objective of the Contract is that the successful Contractor will work with the Employer (through its Estates Office, Maintenance and Utilities) to maintain the highest possible standards of reliability by operating an effective service, maintenance inspection and repair service, with contractually binding performance levels in order to deliver a high level of customer satisfaction.
