About this contract
This contract is for the provision of Closed Circuit Television monitoring, maintenance, alarm monitoring, maintenance and key holding and will commence on 1st July 2017 The Closed Circuit Television network will consist of 11 cameras and a fibre hub within the district of Selby, as detailed in the maps on pages 28 to 30 of the ITT doc. Proactive monitoring will be required on a limited basis mainly during evenings and weekends. Connection to the camera network will be via a secure link to a control room. The monitoring provider should also have the ability to link in with Police (airwave) radio systems. The CCTV shall be effectively maintained, which will ensure that the Council and partners receive a high quality sustainable service over the contract period, and also meet the requirements of the Data Commissioners CCTV Code of Practice. The Council has 5 premises in Selby as detailed on the map on page 31 which require alarm monitoring, preventative maintenance, responsive repairs and keyholding services. These comprise 2 multiple unit small industrial centers, 1customer contact center, 1homeless persons' hostel and 1 empty building which is currently for lease and would be removed from this schedule should a lessee be found. The Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to undertake a comprehensive CCTV monitoring, maintenance, alarm monitoring, maintenance and keyholding service. Tenderers are expected to demonstrate within the documentation provided by them that they can provide a professional service through the employment of competent and adequately trained technicians, including holiday and sickness cover and that they have an appropriate recording system to itemise details of all work carried out.
