About this contract

Stevenage Borough Council are currently seeking tenders for the provision of a Tenants Contents Insurance Scheme. The Scheme is to be administered entirely by the Provider. The Council has approximately 8000 Housing Stock and 1390 Leasehold Properties with 598 "live" contents insurance policies in place at the time of writing. Data sharing of the existing scheme policyholder/customer information will not be possible due to GDPR. It is intended under this contract that the Provider will offer a range of marketing support to maximise take-up amongst residents of the Borough and all associated costs will be deemed to be included. The scheme take-up is voluntary for our tenants and leaseholders and some will already have arrangements in place or may choose to do so in the future, if they feel that the scheme is not suitable for them. The Council expects the Provider to maximise take-up for the tenants and leaseholders of the Borough but the Council does not expect a "hard sell". The current scheme expires on 31/3/21. The replacement scheme will commence 1st April 2021. Please note the deadline for returns and allow sufficient time to make your return as late returns will not be permitted.
