About this contract

Saw Close lies to the north of the Seven Dials junction and links Queen Square (via Barton Street) to Kingsmead Square in the City of Bath. Saw Close is currently used as a busy pedestrian thoroughfare for pedestrians and traffic and is the main drop off point for visitors to the Bath Theatre Royal. Redevelopment work within Saw Close is about to commence with the construction of a New Casino, Hotel and Restaurant facilities to the East side of Saw Close. This redevelopment work will be delivered by a Private Developer who will also construct enhanced public realm areas within the curtilage of the development site but not to the entire area. B&NES will deliver the remaining public realm shared space element to complete the public square and provide a fully comprehensive and integrated scheme. Bath & North East Somerset Council is looking to appoint a successful consultant to deliver all aspects of the design including highway electrical and architectural as well as highway engineering services. As such, any tenderer who is not able to provide any or some of these services on an in-house basis, will need to appoint sub-consultants and identify those proposed sub-consultants in his tender return. See Invitation to Tender (ITT) for full scope of works. Suppliers interested in this opportunity should express their interest by clicking on the 'login and register interest' button below. New users to the system must register first to obtain a user name and password before returning to this opportunity.
