About this contract
The National Physical Laboratory (NPL) requirement is for the supply of two tuneable lasers required for beating with devices under test as part of linewidth measurements. As NPL is developing the understanding of linewidth measurement techniques in the context of various applications involving many different laser types, lasers with a narrow linewidth and tuneability over a range of wavelengths are required to perform heterodyne measurements of the devices under test. The primary requirement is for two lasers, one at 780nm and one at 795nm as these are the two wavelengths of interest to us now with regards to this measurement. The other necessity is that these lasers will have a narrow linewidth narrower than 100kHz. Additional information: The Authority is using the LUPC Bravo e-Procurement portal to conduct the procurement process. All Suppliers must register their company via the LUPC Bravo Portal.
