About this contract
We are a commercial Litho Printer operating since 2002 based in Cornwall servicing a wide customer base within the South West and Nationwide. We are one of the few printers in the Region producing work on B1 multi colour litho presses, and a major producer of Brochures, catalogues, leaflets, Greetings Cards and other everyday print requirements, producing print for some of the Region's largest employers. We are the major producer of advertising literature for the South West's tourist attractions and we also specialise in producing Educational Prospectuses and Brochures for two major agencies within this sector. Need for goods/services. When we made our first major investment in a new press in 2006 the new technology the press offered over our existing 10 year old model was revolutionary in terms of efficiencies giving us savings in terms of energy, time materials and consumables. We are once again at the point, of needing to invest in new technology to take advantage of the benefits it offers in terms of make ready times, running speeds, colour consistency, energy savings and other enhancements which contribute to our environmental credentials. This new technology that will also allow us to significantly increase the proportion of work that we undertake in house and we will also benefit from additional productivity savings. The purchase of this system is part of a grant funded application process and therefore procurement will be subject to grant approval of the project as a whole. We will compare tenders received on a compliance basis only. Tender Documentation are available as attachments
