About this contract

Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Trust are looking to appoint a suitable contractor to act as the Principle Contractor to carry out some Ward refurbishment works and the upgrade of engineering services to the ward at Stamford and Rutland Hospital. There will be structural changes that will need additional roof supports to create the larger bed bays, with wider door openings, also the provisions of new bed head services inclusive of Medical Gases, Electrical power outlets (Medical equipment), a Wireless Nurse Call system and a Patients entertainment system at each bed. The increased bed capacity will also require changes to the local Hot Water storage systems and pressurised units. Each Patients bay will need new flooring, lighting and power outlets, plus a full redecoration. Some works will require specialised contractors (or Nominated Contractors) to complete works in accordance with HTM’s & HBN’s. Additional information: Companies interested in this participating in bidding for this requirement MUST be accredited and members of construction line, and have had previous NHS Acute Hospital or Care Home organisational work experience whereby full references will be taken up.
