About this contract

NEW POLICE STATION – REDBRIDGE HOUSE, BATH Project Scope Avon and Somerset Police Constabulary, wish to remodel and refurbish the existing premises known as Redbridge House, Midland Road, Bath, BA2 3EW. Redbridge House is a privately owned office four-storey / commercial building. The works will involve taking over the tenancy on the part second and entire third floor office areas. Redbridge house will be occupied during the construction period by existing tenants to other areas of the building, with access to the communal central stairwell and lift serving all floors. Proposed Works The proposed works include the following main elements: Fabric: • Strip out of all existing office partitioning, suspended ceilings, floor coverings, fixtures and fittings to both proposed 2nd and third floor offices. • Provision of new demountable office partitioning to suit the new layout. • New suspended ceilings throughout. • New floor coverings. • Provision of new shower facilities. • Provision of new kitchen and tea point. • Provision of new toilet accommodation. • Redecorations • Sundry works Mechanical & Electrical: • Strip out of existing / redundant data, cabling, lighting and mechanical services and associated equipment. • Provision of new light fittings and cabling • Provision of new emergency lighting. • Alterations / upgrading the fire alarm installation. • Upgrading the electrical power supply / distribution board works. • Provision of small power / data / ancillaries. • Provision of new boiler and radiators to serve new facilities. • Provision of new comfort cooling / heating and ventilation. • Alterations to intruder installation / CCTV provision. • Provision of new secure access control system. Other Works: • New park bay line marking. • New external cycle cage. • Security works to the existing external fire escape. • Sundry flat roof works.
