About this contract
Nottinghamshire County Council (the Council) is seeking tenders, on behalf of Mansfield District Council (MDC), The current roof membrane and insulation build-up at Rebecca Adlington Leisure Centre, installed in 2009 as part of the major refurbishment of the Centre, is failing in a number of areas. Repairs to the existing roof membrane over the last few years have failed to resolve the roof leaks in a number of areas and water ingress and damage is evident inside the building. The replacement of the roof membrane and roof mounted air handling units was identified in the 2019 Building Condition Survey report (by Oakleaf Building Surveyors Ltd for MDC) as requiring lifetime replacement in 2029. Due to the ongoing leaks, SIG Design Technology (who were involved with the original Rhepanol single ply roof membrane installation in 2009) were requested to investigate and produce a roof build-up report and to advise on the roof build-up condition where water penetration is occurring. This inspection took place in February 2022 and included intrusive core testing of the roof build up above the structural deck. It was found that water / moisture is trapped within the warm roof build up.
