About this contract
The North Bristol NHS Trust has investigated a number of volumetric pumps on the market as the units currently in use within the Trust are coming to the end of their useful life. An extensive examination of the Trust's requirements has been undertaken and a detailed specification has been prepared. The Trust has decided to frame this procurement in terms of either bids for a lease deal or a placement deal in order to offer prospective bidders the greatest amount of flexibility. Due to the intention to contract over seven (7) years (with an additional x2 twelve (12) months extension period) it was felt that the optimal route to market in terms of effectiveness and efficiency would be via a restricted OJEU process. The offer to the market consists of the supply of five hundred (500) volumetric pumps with the ability to perform across all adult, paediatric and neonatal environments. The successful bidder will be required to support installation of the machines and training for operational staff members. Consumables associated with operating the volumetric pumps will also be included in the bid.
