About this contract

The Healthy NHS Workforce Programme aims to achieve improved NHS staff health and is spearheaded by a group of 12 leading NHS organisations. These include employers such as hospitals, mental health, ambulance and community trusts and clinical commissioning groups, in partnership with NHS England, NHS Employers and Public Health England. NHS England is also focussed upon its own internal staff health and wellbeing which is aligned totally to the external programme, offer and steer towards improving health of 5,200 employees. The programme offers a range of support to individual staff – some of which are universal whilst others are targeted to those who might need specific support. Included in the programme is the need for: o Provision of on-site health checks in the workplace, to include the NHS 40+ health check, for NHS England staff aged 40-74 years, so that they are able to access it more easily and receive local signposting and support, while testing new models of health assessments and health-related incentives. NHS England requires a minimum of 564 staff members to be given a Health Check as part of this service. A number of one (1) day clinics will be set up with individual appointments for employees to select to attend and NHS England will provide the accommodation The number of clinics to be held at each site will be agreed with the winning Bidder. We envisage there being a fairly even split of clinics across sites, taking into consideration the differing headcounts at each.
