About this contract

PHE is looking to award a contract for the refurbishment of a Harshaw 8800 TLD reader originally purchased in March 2007 which is now due for its mid-life upgrade. The Reader requires system refurbishment, including an upgrade to internal software and replacement of integral parts, by specially trained engineers with knowledge of Harshaw equipment. Therefore, PHE intends to award this work to Phoenix Dosimetry Ltd due to the fact that they are the only approved Harshaw supplier for Europe; thus only their trained engineers can carry out this work.
