About this contract
Littering, spitting, dog fouling and other antisocial behaviour affect the quality of the local environment and have an adverse impact on how places look and are perceived. These activities also negatively influence how attractive the local area is to residents, workers, visitors and investors such as businesses and their trade. In order to ensure that the environment is kept clean and safe the Council wishes to procure an Environmental Enforcement Service for street scene issues. The duration of the Contract will be for 36 months, with the possible extension for up to a further 18 months subject to agreement between the Authority and the successful Provider. It is expected that the service will be based on a ‘no cost - no risk’ financial model. This means that the cost of the service for the Council would be funded from FPN payments and that any shortfall would be a risk for the contractor with any surplus being shared with the contractor on an agreed basis.
