About this contract
Wyre Council is inviting expressions of interest from sports providers in the borough to provide a number of community sports programmes for young people aged between 8 to 24. The current activity offer includes football, street dance, free running, disability multisports, dodgeball, disability trampolining, disability climbing, multisports and badminton across various venues within Wyre. Sports providers seeking to deliver sports services will be expected to contribute towards the following priorities: Increase levels of physical activity to improve the health and wellbeing of our communities. Target areas of greatest health need/low participation areas with sporting and physical activity initiatives. Reduce levels of anti-social behaviour and crime. Provide opportunities targeted at young people, disabled people, women and girls and inactive groups. Improve the skills of coaches and volunteers working within community sport.
