About this contract
NHS England, Highly Specialised Services (referred to as the Commissioner) is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to express interest for the Provision of Amyloidosis Networked Model of Care services, by responding to this opportunity as required and described within this published Competitive Process. NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU (AGCSU) is acting as an agent for and on behalf of the Commissioner and is supporting the provider selection process.

Amyloidosis is the name for a group of rare, serious conditions caused by a build-up of an abnormal protein, called amyloid, in organs and tissues throughout the body. The build-up of amyloid proteins (deposits) can make it difficult for the organs and tissues to work properly.

The key objectives of the Competitive Process are to commission a networked model of care for Amyloidosis services to establish four regional centres under this initial process. Bidders must be located within the Lot geography for which they are bidding.

The regional centres are proposed to be in the:
• Lot 1 - South West
• Lot 2 - Midlands
• Lot 3 - North West
• Lot 4 - North East and Yorkshire

Deadline for expressions of interest is the 07th of November 2024 by 17:00hrs.

It is envisaged that service commencement will be in May 2025.
The contract duration is for 5 years with the option to extend for a further 24 months.
