Tenders are invited from suitably experienced providers for the provision of a Mental Health Supported Living service for younger adults in the Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council area.
The specification relates to the delivery of a supported living service for up to three (3) individuals in the Neath Abbey area in accordance with Part 2 of the Mental Health Measure (Wales) 2010.
The Service is an arrangement for individuals who have the potential for living more independently where the focus will be on achieving outcomes for individuals. The service is a jointly funded between Neath Port Talbot Council and Swansea Bay University Health Board as part of their ongoing collaboration.
The contract will be for an initial period of five (5) years with the option to extend by period of not more than twenty four (24) months .
The Service will consist of one building in the Neath Abbey area with three bedrooms and a shared lounge and kitchen area. There will also be a room set aside for an office area. The type of support will predominantly consist of a mix of direct personal care as well as supporting Individuals to achieve outcomes so they may achieve greater, or full independence. There will also be a particular emphasis on healthy living where the Provider will be required to deliver support that encourages Individuals to live healthier more enriching lives.
The Registered Social Landlord (RSL) for the property is First Choice Housing and the Provider will be required to maintain a Management Agreement with the RSL for the duration of the Agreement.
As this is a new Service, there will be no TUPE requirements. The successful Tenderer will be required to either recruit new Staff or to redeploy existing staff to the Service in a way consistent with the requirements of the Service Purchasers.
