About this contract
South Gloucestershire Council is seeking bids from organisations for the provision of a Social Care service for prisoners residing in HMPs Ashfield, Eastwood Park or Leyhill. Care and Support will be provided to adult male and female prisoners with both temporary and longer term needs, and for all ages. Organisations must have a proven track record in providing social care within a prison or custodial setting and must be CQC registered. The contract will commence on 01 February 2020. The service will be available to all eligible individuals residing within any prison and will require sufficient trained and home office security cleared staff to cover services at all times of the day, and night, when needed. The contract is for 36 months with an optional extension clause of 24 months subject to performance and funding. The OJEU has been published based on an estimated value of £300,000 for this contract over the maximum term including any extension. The Council believes that TUPE will apply to this tender, however, potential bidders must make their own enquiries.
