About this contract
Bristol and Bath and North East Somerset have a growing population of older people and people who have adisability or life limiting long term illness. Older people and people with disabilities are likely to be living in theirown homes and are more likely to be on low incomes, affected by fuel poverty and find it more difficult to keeptheir homes in good repair. We want to help people to help themselves and empower them to remain living safe and well. For this reason we want people to remain living independently in their own homes for as long as they are ableto. We understand that having a home that is in a decent state of repair and adapted to suit them and theirfamilies need is essential in sustaining health and wellbeing. BCC and B&NES are commissioning a Home Improvement Agency service. The contract will predominantly deliver a range of outcome focussed housing maintenance and adaptionservices that will enable vulnerable adults to live independently in their own homes for as long as they are safeand able.
