About this contract

Promoting independence is the process of enabling individuals with eligible needs to remain in their own homes and helped to have their needs met through innovative ways. In addition, this service will be designed to enable early intervention to prevent people from requiring more intensive services and reduce demand on commissioned services in line with the wellbeing principles which are incorporated in the Care Act 2014. The scope of this Service includes enabling people to live in their own home as independently as possible in line with a reablement ethos; with the provision of a broad range of support services including but not limited to: assisting with dressing, washing, bathing and preparation of meals and drinks. In addition, commissioners will be seeking a community based approach to supporting individuals and using existing assets in the community, coordinating the services around the needs of the individual and being person centred.
